We started off this month celebrating our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY for our Alpine Site and THREE YEAR ANNIVERSARY for our Magna Site! We are so thankful to all of our parents for trusting us with your children who have made this year memorable and full of fun moments. We also want to thank our staff for all of the hard work they do every week, for planning fun activities for the children, and keeping our centers a fun and safe environment.
We then had our PreSchool field trip to Hee Haws! The kids absolutely loved it! The children were able to visit the farm animals, pet them, and chase them in the mud! They also got to do a corn maze, and take their own pumpkin home. We want to thank Betsy Schow for being our parent volunteer for Miss Characa's class:)
The two and three year old class also was able to go on their first field trip and bus ride!!! Miss Mandi's class was able to go on a hay-ride, that they got stuck on for 30 minutes! Then, they had to walk through the mud to get back to the bus, but they were amazing little troopers. We want to say thank you to Carol Stimpson for being our parent volunteer for Miss Mandi's class.
To finish off the month we had a Thanksgiving Feast. The kids brought food from home to contribute, we had corn, rolls, cranberries, turkey, and yummy pumpkin pie!! We talked about what all of us were thankful for, and why we have Thanksgiving, the kids really enjoyed it, and so did all of our teachers.

Halloween In Alpine!
We had our Halloween Party at the Alpine school on Friday! It was so much fun for all the kids and even our teachers! We had so many different costumes! We had Hannah Montana, Nancy fancy, Superman, Micky Mouse, Lady Bug's, and so many more! We started out the morning by Miss Shannon teaching us all "Thriller", decorated cookies, and had "Treats and Guts"! Who know that Jello, Spaghetti, and Grapes could be so creepy! We finished our party off just right with a Cat-Walk for all of our pre-schoolers to show off their amazing costumes!

We participated by having a spin art booth which was a lot of fun! The kids loved it! We also participated in the parade for Alpine Days. Our children were able to ride in the train and be a part of the parade. It was so much fun!

July Enrichement Classes
July Enrichment Classes for Alpine Center will be offering:
Toddler Program
Tumbling Tots- The class goal is to develop the foundations of physical activities such as running, jumping, climbing and balancing. Tumbling Tots aims to increase children's confidence and self- esteem through physical challenge and achievement and to encourage cooperation and interaction with other children.
Sensory Discovery- "Wonder, investigation and discovery" are three words to describe science in young children. Children will be encouraged to see, taste, smell, hear and feel in this exciting discovery class
Creative Art- We will give our "little artists" the opportunity to experiment with many different types of media and encourage them to explore and create. Exploring the world through art comes naturally for most children and learning about art can help them develop cognitive, social and creative skills that go far beyond a box of Crayolas.
Music & Movement- Our student's will be enthusiastic about our music and movement class. Music is a natural and joyous part of childhood. Through music children benefit greatly and are impacted in many area of life, language development, and listening. The children will have an opportunity to experiment with different instruments and learn about rhythm.

How does your garden grow?
Hopefully without silver bells (we're short on them this year) and I think we'll do without the puppy dog tails, but we do have a lot of great helpers! The school agers helped pull weeds and grass, dig holes/pits for the tomato plants, put in the seeds and starts, and water (and, on occasion, drowned) the new garden. The two year olds "helped" weed--too bad they don't know a marigold from a dandilion!
The school agers were great helpers, pulling up weeds and grass, digging holes (more like pits!) for the tomato plants, planting the seeds and starts, and then helping to water (aka drowned) the plants.
